Rooms to Hire

Rooms may be hired for a minimum of two hours between 8am and 10pm. Regular hirers are awarded a 10% discount. WiFi is available and use of the kitchen is free. We have a spacious carpark, a secure area to lock bikes and the town centre bus stop is 5 minutes walk. Disabled access and bathroom on the ground floor.

Main Meeting Room (hearing loop available)

This room can hold more than 50 people. Long benches provide seating around a central table.
It has been used for choir practice, weddings and memorial services, public meetings and celebrations.


Hiring our AV equipment (main meeting room and middle room only)

We charge a fixed fee of £20 for the use of our equipment. Use your laptop to project to our large screen TV or use our PA system to amplify a speaker's voice. Ideal for film screenings, video conferences, presentations and training sessions as well as music or spoken word performances. 

Middle Room (hearing loop available)

A large carpeted room ideal for meetings or yoga classes. Flexibly furnished with stackable chairs and 4 folding tables. The kitchen leads off this room making it ideal for sessions that include refreshments or lunches. Around 25 people can use this room comfortably. 

Library (direct wheelchair access via ramp)

This room has a comfy sofa, a large table and stacking chairs and can accommodate around 10 people.

Children's Room

May be used as a play room or family therapy room, however it is accessed via a steep staircase. Furniture suitable for children up to age 10, a sink at one end and a sofa and rugs at the other. Around 4 adults can use this room, with space for up to 6 young children to play safely.  

Special Occasions

The Meeting House is licensed to hold weddings after the manner of Quakers. Receptions serving tea and cake can be held on the premises using the carpeted Middle Room and kitchen. We have a no alcohol policy but just across the road there are two hotels who can host receptions involving alcohol.

We are also a venue for Memorial Services and Celebrations of the Life of a deceased. You are welcome to hire our building and conduct a service according to your own religious or secular tradition.
