Rooms to Hire

Our Meeting House facilities include:


  •      Induction loop for people with hearing aids
  •      Access and facilities for disabled people
  •      A children's room
  •      A well equipped kitchen
  •      Car parking for about 20 cars
  •      Cushioned seating
  •      A beautiful orchard

Rooms for your club or business meetings may be hired for a minimum of two hours between 8am and 10pm.

Main Meeting Room

This room can hold about 100 people in moderate comfort, which can be opened out to hold 200.
It has been used for choir practice, weddings and memorial services, public meetings and celebrations.

Middle Room

A large carpeted area that can be used for social events. Furnished with stackable full-size chairs. The kitchen leads off this room making it ideal for sessions that include refreshments or lunches.

Library

This room has a large central table and seating for 10.

Children's Room

Can be used as a play room, or classroom. Accessed via a steep staircase. Furniture suitable for children up to age 10, a sink at one end and some comfortable low chairs at the other.

Special Occasions

The Meeting House is licensed to hold weddings after the manner of Quakers. Receptions serving tea and cake for up to 75 people can be held on the premises using the carpeted Middle Room and kitchen. We have a no alcohol policy but just across the road there are hotels who can host receptions involving alcohol.

We are also a venue for Memorial Services and Celebrations of the Life of a deceased. You can hire our rooms and conduct a service according to your own religious or secular tradition.
